TPS was started small in a residential area and expanded multiple times, then in 1999
moved into a new building in the west end Industrial park.
TPS founder Rich Lindemann was on the city council in 1992 when Newton was first
zoned and Ironically was all for zoning despite the fact that his business startup would of
been in violation of the very rules he now wanted.
On April 3 2007 when the second Newton Zoning Ordinance was passed Rick
Lindemann now president of TPS votes yes for the new zoning ordinance.
On 2/8/2010 the Zoning board meets, Ironically to discuss rezoning lots 1 and 2 of the
west end industrial park from I1 to SR1, or from industrial to residential. President of TPS
Rick Lindemann and building owner rep Bill Whiteworth both had submitted letters of
opposition and also testified at the hearing against the rezoning.
When this rezoning came up for vote by the city council ironically Alderman Rick
Lindemann despite the previous opposition to the rezoning voted for the rezoning, which
despite being located in a industrial park ironically put TPS adjacent to a residential area
again.
