My name is Larry A Short and I am a lifelong resident of Newton and live at 601 East Decatur with
my Wife Beth, Children Jeffrey, Edward and Caroline, our son Bradley is in the US Air Force.
I am employed at Norris Electric Cooperative
I have previously served two terms on the Newton City council from 2007 to 2015 and have a very
fiscally conservative voting record of consistently opposing wasteful spending, unnecessary
regulations, excessive taxes and handing out taxpayer money.
I am the one who votes no when taxpayer money is being handed out.
I am the one who votes no to the wasteful spending.
I am the one who the rest of the council and especially the Mayor would do anything to get rid of
I am the one who objects to the tax levy process of "how much can we get"
